About ink-n-paper

ink-n-paper opened its doors for the first time in May 2004 to much speculation as to whether such a business model would succeed within the vicinity it chose. Almost three years on, ink-n-paper has started to become a well recognised company by carefully selecting and offering the correct products and services the area required. Throughout the second year of trading, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual figures have been analysed to follow the areas of departmental growth, and now finally at the end of its third year, ink-n-paper is proud to announce a 136% growth upon year one.

And now the creative genuis has struck gold again and launched the
biggest thing ever to hit the South Cheshire area, if not globally...

Giles Cross founded ink-n-paper after returning from living in Los Angeles, California, for ten years during which time he designed graphics, created animation and composed music for television. He also briefly acted on stage and on set.

Cross says, "Music is my ultimate passion, I've written over 300 songs of which I'm about to re-record and start to publish the first 50 of them this year. 2007 is going to be a busy year for me, especially with the new Tarporly Podcast project"

Says Cross, "I grew up in Cheshire, but my early days of employment took me around the UK, and it offered me the chance to look farther afield and quickly discover geography and travel. After doing the obligatory stint in London, I decided to follow my dreams and head for Hollywood."

While living only a few blocks from the Pacific Ocean, Cross also worked in the oil industry as a Special Projects Manager working closely with municipal contracts, bids and large industrial plants and commercial users such as the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) and the Department of Water & Power (DWP). "I loved the oil business. I was well received within the industry whereupon I was offered countless opportunities to see first hand the functions of a variety of industries, such as working closely within the food industry with several Coca Cola bottling plants, becoming involved with the largest solar energy farm in the world (4,500 acres using large 500 megawatt dish shaped mirrors) based in the Mojave desert, and also various packaging plants, machine shops and multiple marine clients in the Los Angeles and Long Beach Harbours.

"I've had a weird and wonderful life with multiple twists and turns throughout my varied journey, but the experiences I validate as important parts of my life have been looked upon as mistakes by others. I wouldn't be where I am today without making the odd mistake here and there, and like so many of us there are a few things I'd like to obviously go back and change, but overall, I couldn't be happier with my current position. I do miss LA though, it allowed me to roam free and discover a different me, one that I am suppressed to be in the UK, but I do intend to pick up where I left off back in Hollywood. I'm in no rush. It's just that the people in the UK are different, and it's only because the weather makes them all fed up and miserable. LA is a happy place because the climate is awesome, dude!"

"I brought back the best of the big city life
and am offering it to the rural communities.
"

So where to from here? Cross is insistent on growing ink-n-paper and expanding into other rural high streets across the country. "There's a definite need for what my company offers to businesses and private consumers. They appreciate the location and the time I save them by not having to travel long distances and waste half a day discussing something that can be done at ink-n-paper."

"We offer the flexibility to get on with an important day without sacrificing it by spending hard earned money on travel costs and parking tickets. I brought back the best of the big city life and am offering it to the rural communities."
